Hi all, i have been tuning my timing and im curious about vacuum advance. The dizzy is regraphed and designed to run at 8-10 degrees advance at idle and thats where i have set it. I disconnected the vacuum advance before starting and proceded to balance the timing and idle to read 9 degrees at 650rpm and it idled nicely. So i turned it off, reconnected the vacuum advance to the timed spark port and when it started up again it wasnt idling as nice. I was told that i would then have to readjust again after vacuum advance was connected.
