Identify Badge

Can anyone identify this badge? Found it on eBay and originally thought it was a Holden Body Works badge from a Chev or something, but then noticed the GMH on it.

RIP uncle Jeff

When my cousins were organising my Uncle Jeffs funeral they were going to go to another parlour when they were told his last ride would be in a Ford LTD hearse but the funeral director came up with this very suitable replacement for them.

Brisbane blokes

Any Brissy older blokes remember Pat Fay (FJ hearse) or that HR wagon running around in the 70's with stickers on every piece of paint work?

FJ Resurrection

Photo of the old mans FJ. Taken "quite a few years ago", front end just about finished (over hauled), motor rebuild in process, panel works been done, next stop paint shop hopefully, "finger's crossed" Hopefully it's all back together for some nice summer cruising. It's been off the road for close to twenty years!!

Will start to put rebuild photos in my gallery soon.

138 Grey Motor Head Gasket?

I checked my radiator on my EJ wagon, it was low. Then i checked the dipstick, it was a milky colour, thought this was strange, then took off the oil filler cap and this is the way I found it.
When I put my finger in the rocker cover, it is white milky sludge.
Is it the head gasket?

Motor has been rebuild 4,000 miles ago, around 6 years ago. What causes this?

Is it possible that me and Dad could do this repair at home?

This counts as my show and tell, I wish it was something that made us happy.......

Alternator wiring help

Image:

I'm replacing my alternator with this Proform one.It has a plug with red and white wires and
a black plastic mount on the side.I'm thinking that the coil goes to the red and the battery goes on the side.Has anyone used one of these before and what is the white wire for?

Cheers Phil

Heater & Air Vents

Hi guys

I stripped my 1 ton 3 years ago to fix it. Now its time to put it back together, I am having trouble A) finding all the bits and B) figuring out where they go. Current issue is the air/heater vents and pipes for them

The 2 vents in the middle of the dash - where do they connect to? Do they have pipes off them going somewhere? I can't figure it out. I only seem to have 2 connecting pipes for the side vents, that go to the big cylinder shaped vents to the cowling.

Any info (or pics) appreciated.

Cheers
Darryl

here's a nasty bolt out of the blue

A good friend of mine who is into vintage bikes and cars sent me this text message with a link

"had a interesting night talking to angry anderson and alan hay during angry's campaign tour for the seat of throsby. alan is going for the senate for the national party and has been campaigning for the last two years to stop the Labor party from taking vintage cars, bikes, hotrods, street machines, kits cars and 4wd's off the road permanently and killing the 6 Billion dollar industry that supports it."
