should this be allowed

This was at the Ballarat swap meet today.

Rules are .... Classic and Historic vehicles - manufactured after 31 December 1930, but more than 25 years before the date of the application for a club permit.

So is this a Classic or Historic car???? Thoughts???

New toy

Hi all,

Just a quick update on the progress on the VB. not a great deal has been happening to the actual car, been spending all my cash on the motor which is currently in getting all the machining. All the bottom end gear is here so in a few weeks when I have enough to pay for the machining ill get it back and be ready to start assembling. Apart from that its just been a few bits here and there on the VB but not a great deal as I need money to keep progressing on it.

As you can see in the pic I added a new holden to my collection last week. The ute is my new daily driver. VZ S PAC 6 speed manual. Just a neat daily is all I was after and a ute for work reasons.

Anyway that's the latest from the home of TUFFVB. Hopefully some more progress to report on in the coming few weeks

Mystery Ht grille centre?

This is One for the HKTG fans.
I've owned and driven these models since i was licenced to drive. True, i've only had kingswoods but i cant identify this grille centre. I assumed it was off a monaro but other monaro centres in ht's are blue like the kingswoods? Does anyone know what this one is off. I picked it up somewhere years ago and came across it again doing a shed clean out??

your thoughts much appreciated
thanks'
Al

Body lift for tyre clearance.

G'day fellow Holdeners, I am preparing my HQ tonner for an outback adventure, experance tells me that a kingswood in standard form can cover plenty of "4x4 only tracks" with a bit of commitment, momentum and good wheel placment, so I recon with bigger wheels, tyres, heavy bash plates and a winch I could cover even more country without buying a 4x4 ( I love being a tight @ss ) I am planning to make 3" tall RHS steel blocks with indexing pipe to lock into the chasis to body mounting holes and use longer bolts and standard body mounting rubbers. Also wanting to use taller front springs and extended hangers on the rear to raise the suspension, slip on some 15" rims and find out how big I can comfortably go with the tyres.

Yella Terra Roller Rockers: YT-ST2031

I have some slightly noisy std 202 rockers & bridges. These were replaced as new units 10000mls ago. I checked them out & some wiggle in all directions when I move them by hand. Had a guts full of thise s**t design so time to get new rollers I reckon.

Has anyone had any experience with YT-ST2031 rockers? I hear they're adjustable but the adjustment is on the pushrod seat of the rocker. How then can you adjust these down when if engine is running?? By moving your spanner up & down really quickly, in time with the rocker? LOL

ebay trouble.. not holden related

Sorry not holden related guys but I thought you guys may be able to help. I bought a generator of ebay from agr machinery in Sydney advertised as a 13hp 11kva honda 3 phase.Has 3 single phase plugs 2000 watts each.Trouble is it won't run what I want it to. Have done some research and the motor is 11hp and the generator is 7 kva. It's also marketed as Genpower which leads you believe it's built in Aust, Genpower Australia assured me they have nothing to do with this company.

Identify Badge

Can anyone identify this badge? Found it on eBay and originally thought it was a Holden Body Works badge from a Chev or something, but then noticed the GMH on it.

RIP uncle Jeff

When my cousins were organising my Uncle Jeffs funeral they were going to go to another parlour when they were told his last ride would be in a Ford LTD hearse but the funeral director came up with this very suitable replacement for them.

Any Brissy older blokes remember Pat Fay (FJ hearse) or that HR wagon running around in the 70's with stickers on every piece of paint work?

Taken "quite a few years ago", front end just about finished (over hauled), motor rebuild in process, panel works been done, next stop paint shop hopefully, "finger's crossed" Hopefully it's all back together for some nice summer cruising. It's been off the road for close to twenty years!!

Will start to put rebuild photos in my gallery soon.
