G'day guys,
My life has just taken an enormous and sharp left turn so I need to sell the Qute in the next month or so...
It is a 73 model, originally fitted with 202/Tri/3.55 Banjo combo.
All hanging panels are rust free and all are also very straight except the tailgate has the usual towball dent in it.
The body has rust in the sills, inner rear sills and behind the back window (all the usual places).
The paintwork is stuffed...
It is fitted with a complete WB Stato dash and interior (including tacho modified to suit 6 cyl motor). Original Power Window regulators and central locking solenoids come with it.
It has a power steering box in it but no pump.
There are 3 x RB 30's and 2 x JATCO autos to go with it too.

Hi all, hope I can pick your brains here. Have been looking thru holdenpaedia and work guides but so much conflicting info thought I'd try here.
Have an HX Premier 308 on gas fitted Ford EF thermo fans drawing air thru radiator with thermo switch tfs 106 with 95/90 operating temps and new 15psi rad cap and new thermostat opening at 82 so fully open at 94(Tridon info) but the old girl still gets hot according to standard GTS gauge so how accurate that is, is a guess.
Looking at fitting a sooner opening thermostat, maybe 72/84 and thermo switch which will have fans on sooner.

Haven't been on here for a while. Here's what I've been up to. http://www.youtube.c...
This is it's first launch. Was only able to run it to 80' first. Next run will be half track, then progressively get further down the track until it is licenced.
Nerves got the better of me and the burnout RPM was too low. Never driven anything like this and had no idea how many RPM was required. Obviously more than I gave it.....

Hi Guys,
I have for sale a late November 1989 commodore wagon.
V6 auto.
Four wheel standard disc brakes.
Air conditioning.
Power steering.
15 inch Holden alloy rims with good tyres.
Odometer showing 390,500 kms.
Engine/engine bay looks like its never been washed down.
Condition of cars appearance is rough. It is a runner but has been De-registered and NOT suitable to go over pits.
For those in the know, this may be suitable for an engine/drive line/brake conversion for early model Holden's or Hot Rods.

Hey guys
I have been reading on some other forums that, when guys have been repainting there cars, after they have sanded it back to bare metal, they then use a orbital sander, and going over the whole car again.
I have also heard that once that hace spared the primer, instead of using a sanding block, they use a orbital sander and going over the whole car. Are these guys taking the easy way out? Or is this just another method?

Eight years ago Nathan and I gave a tired 186 a quick hone and some new rings and bearings.
It got a YT head, 35/70 cam, Commodore dizzy, triples and extractors.
It's done hillclimbs, lap dashes, motokhanas, khanacross and a track day at Oran Park plus being a daily driver.
It's had a very hard life.
A couple of weeks ago I followed Nathan up Dorrigo Mountain from Coramba. Half way up the hill it started blowing lots of smoke and lost power. It developed a chronic miss. SFA compression in 3 and 4.
It still runs, no more rattles than usual, and will cruise at 100 once it gets there. It coughs and farts and spits petrol back out the middle carby. The extractor tubes on 3 and 4 don't get hot when it's running so clearly they aren't burning the fuel it's spitting out.

Anyone noticed what's happened to ebay now? Big pictures in the listings and everything but the sellers date of birth in the title? What a pain, now the pages take forever to load and forever to browse through. It will use up my tiny data allowance too, where the hell is this free internet? Will it ever actually happen? Of course being inthe country I'll probably be the last to get it even though my current service is about as good as useless. Here endeth the rant.

Im currently upgrading my fuel system in my HQ one tonner from 5/16" to 3/8" fuel line and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a fuel sender with a 3/8" fuel pick up pipe. I want to keep the system stock apart from the size increase and don't want to modify the tank with a sump etc. I was thinking of doing it myself by cutting off the old pipe either side of the plate and drilling it out to suit a new larger pipe but would rather simply buy one or have someone somewhere in Melbourne modify it for me. Any suggestions would be great.
