No harm in asking another question!
I'm fitting a new clutch pull-rod to my HG (thanks Brad). It has the usual small sliding ball on each end. I'm wndering how it's fitted to the 'folded over' bracket on each end (one at the rear of the clutch pedal, and the other down at the linkages to the gearbox). It's replacing a length of fencing wire which was fitted sometime!
I'm wondering whether I have to undo the swivelling brackets. I can post pics if needed.

Thought about getting one of these ball joint press sets from the U.S. seeing our dollar is so good at the moment. Just wondering if anyone has used this type before and if they are any good for removing/installing balljoints on a HT.

Hey fellas...
I have had a look through the work guides but cant find all of what I am looking for. So can anyone help me??? Would like to give the old girl a complete lube service and maybe learn more about the mechanical side of the old girl.
1. Where do I find the numbers on my 5 Speed Toyota Gear Box to work out what model it is?
2. What type of gear box oil would you recomend?
3. What type of diff oil would be best suited to a 3.55 that has a slight whine?

I have some 5 slot mags on the HQ wagon, (see here http://oldholden.com...) but when I got her home I noticed that it had standard steel rim nuts, which are barely holding the rims on, already found two on the road when we moved it off the trailer.
so what I need to know is what size shank do I need on the nuts, the rims have a thickness of 30mm or 1 1/8" & are alloy, so do I get the 3/4" shank or the 1 1/16" shank? I know there a 7/16" thred, so thats a start at least.
Thank's
Kevin

I see at Rare Spares they offer two different types of change over reco'd steering boxes.
It seems one is standard & the other is a GTS spec 16:1 ratio.
Has anyone had any experience with these? Does a GTS one need to be supplied to get theat ratio in return? What is the benefit?

Hey Guys,
I am looking at replacing the lights in my dash with LEDs. The HT/G dash has a series of 5/8" (16mm) holes that the globes push into from behind. Does anyone know if you can get LED holders that push into a 16mm hole from behind?
I am planning on re-wiring everything, so having different connections is not a problem.
Also, where do you buy different colour wire from? I know you can get up to 7 core multi-core wire from Narva, but are there better places that sell any colour you like, or more than 7 core wire?
Cheers
Dave

Ok, Simply i want to run commodore wheels on my WB ute.
Now through some investigating on the interwebs i seem to have my answer....
I can run commodore rotors on the WB stub, but if i want to run the WB caliper i need to use a washer to offset the caliper as the commodore rotor has a slightly diffrent offset to the WB rotors....
is this correct?
Now i know that the Commodore rotor is smaller in width than the WB ones, so i know i need to address this as it has the potential to pop out the pistons from the caliper if the brake pad wears right down. I havent properly looked at this bu i am thnking of having 4 spacers machined to extend the piston 3mm.

Hi Fellas
I am converting my auto ute to a manual four speed. I am going to use a hudraulic clutch setup, and I am just wondering if there is a particular bell housing required, or if any is fine?
Cheers,
Ryan

My ek sedan has had prior extensive work carried out which included conversion to unleaded fuel valve seats. however, after recently re-doing the manifold set, I decided the top end was a bit noisy and pulled the cover off for a look. I found that all three font cylinders wee not getting any oil to the tappets, and very little to the rear cyls. I had to pull the head as # 2 exh.
