Hi all,
I want to increase my cooling capacity by installing a 16" thermo fan on a new aluminium radiator. The problem is that the space between the back of the radiator and the water pump pulley is way too small. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to solve this?
At the moment I can only think of installing an electric water pump and removing the water pump impeller/pulley and welding up the hole (I think I need to keep the water pump housing). Is there a simpler alternative?
Thanks
Leigh

Took off this morning, was doing a genteel 180 degree turn at the end of our street when it just went CHRUNCH.
It is, or was, a 3.08 LSD Banjo.
Luckily it didn't lock the wheels. Intact when I let the clutch out there's just a hint of forward power.
Something to do with the LSD bits went bling?
I didn't even give it any beanz.
Anyhow, does anyone on the brizzy area have a spare 3.08 or 3.36 banjo center lying around. Doesn't have to be LSD.

Hi,
i'm looking at making a pic slide show video with as many old holden's as i can find.
so if any members could post up a pic or mail it to me (email add removed)1 of each of there cars from the 1948-WB'S no newer no crummodores either :).
and i will post the you tube link when i'm done. it' will not be done in a night so be patient and hopefully it will be a nice tribute to them all.
it does NOT by any means have to be show condition or even complete as every car in any condition will tell it's own story weather it's just your old work ute or your mint monaro you drive once every 3 years send me a pic.
much appreciated.
UPDATE....(keep adding them here or emailing me until january 31st 2011.

First and foremost I'm a back yarder who's (attempting) to restore a cascade green HG Kinga.
Over the last week or so, I've been prepping the panels for undercoat. I found out that I applied bog well and had a good eye and sanding technique - NOW, this is where I laugh at all those clowns who say 'All the hard work has been done' - Bullsh%t (fill the gap).
I hung the doors in my garage, and made a little spray booth, forgetting exactly how much air is generated by the gun and the fun began.
I got paint everywhere.
In my hair.
On the walls.
On the floor.
In every orifice you can think of...you get the picture. The result? My sanding wasn't that good and there are camels living under my paint job. (humps? get it?)

I have a question about the axles in a UC torana. My son has just slid the car into a gutter and i'm trying to buy a axle however, its a disc brake rear end and the axles are as rare as hens teeth. My question is can I fit a drum brake axle into the disc brake setup if I change the studs or is the length too different. Its a little furstating because i keep getting conflicting information.
