FS : crossmembers flywheel & 308 gas system

Hey guys, i have a few things up for grabs ...

I have a v8 flywheel from a vn, good condition
I have a VN crossmember, had a turbo 700 bolted to it, not sure if t5 fits it or not.
A HZ crossmember that had a turbo 400 bolted to it, once again i am unsure if anything else can bolt onto it
and i have a complete gas system minus copper lines that came out of a hz 308.
will not seperate the gas system, its all or nothing.

I dont know how much none of this stuff is worth, but am open to offers, as ill just end up throwing out what i dont get rid of.

WB air con.pump

hi guyz.is there any other holden or ford etc. air con.pump that i can use on WB?everything is there but pump itself is missing.

Overriders

I've just seen a HZ Premier rear bumper for sale with overriders.

Mine doesn't have them and I don't recal any signs of them being on there.

Are they meant to?
Were they an option?
Does it make a difference because it is a wagon?
What models came out with bumper rubbers, or was that an option too?

Why's this worth so much

I'm very confused as why people are bidding so high on this item, what makes it worth so much, oviously their musnt be many of them arounf but it wouldnt be hard to get one moulded would it like a rare spares item or something.

cleaning sale

got some parts for sale of some cars i have stripped. there going on ebay tomoro if no one wants em
wagon glass, winder mech, chrome winder, hinges and spring thing
6 door handles and mechanisms involved
1 bonnet with surface rust attached.
186 with 90000 odd mile on it with 3 on the tree (no rubber engine mounts attached)
standard instrument cluster all working
heater box and controls with fan switch not working
and many other parts available.

Tough Gearbox For my Chevrolet.

Hey guys,

I was just querying as to the fitiment of a ford toploader behind a 350 chev into hk, and also the t5 v8 box. By the looks of things the toploader is the easiest option, do they run hydraulics as well as cables? Basically I want to no about cutting away the floor in my car, how much am I going to have to remove to fit either of these boxes, and which will go in without any tunnel modifications (besides cuts). Thanks.

NEED HELP HK V8 CONVERSION

Hi
I got my self old hk ute with 161 6cyls 3 on the tree i need advise from all u holden fans, if u guys can help me with all the parts i need and comments on this issue like k frame, sump n pick up, tail shaft, wiring to dash, speedo drive, engine n gear box mounts and etc. i will be using vn 5L v8 auto

Repco Air Conditioning.....

Hey all!

I recently bought a parts car to get my VH wagon on the road. It's a VC sedan, and it has an aftermarket Repco aircon system in it. It has a three speed fan, and takes over the side vents and the vents just above the stereo, leaving the top and bottom vents for the factory heater/fan.

I want to transfer it to the VH, but I have a couple of questions:-

1) Are they any good?

2) There is an electric fan in front of the condensor, which is turned on by a switch added to the dash. Can I get rid of this switch and use a temp switch mounted to the radiator, like the factory air con systems? Or is this not part of the air con system at all?

3) Any thing to look out for when I remove it from the donor car? I've taken heaps of photos of the system, every wire, vent, hose, pipe, fuse box connections etc, to help me install it into the wagon.

4) Will I need to get a clutch fan setup for the motor? The motor I am going to use in the wagon has the normal four-blade solid mount type. Or is this what the electric fan at the front is trying to compensate for?

Lot's of silly questions here, folks, but any info would be great!

K-T-G Rack and pinion

I bid on this but due to my puter doing it's narna, I've now got unexpected expences to deal with.
Someone else has put in a bid so i'm able to pull out of the auction, Phew.
The bid's still nice and low so who knows how cheap it'll be. it looks a bit crap but might be worth trying for. Since i've bowed out of getting it, i thought one of you guys may wanna punt a few quid.

overheating

i have a problem with my torana overheating. it only happens at low speeds in traffic or on realy hot days. the engine would suddnly loose power and i will hear the exhaust "fluttering", it sounds like the engine is pre-igniting the fuel, but it doesnt ping. this happened before but i replaced the radiator and completely overhauled the cooling system except for the water pump and it was all sweet. the car has been overheating ever scince i put a ww stromberg on her. all of the hose fittings are sweet and the carby is complete and well tuned. what i need to know is whats causing the overheating and how do i fix it.
i know that i have carbon on my head, could this be causing it to ignite the fuel.
i have tried pouring water down the carby a while ago but it diddnt seem to do anything.
also, does anyone know where i can get a manual choke kit for a ww strommie.
any help would be great.

what is done to my engine???

hi guys i was wondering is anyone could tell me if anything has been done to my engine?? it has a big bore exhaust system on it, and every time yhou start the car and drive it it sounds like a beast, like a 308 beast. i know its a 202 efi engine, for one my dad used to have a 202 and he said that the car is way more powerful than his was!!! plus this stock vs draged us off at the light and i kept up to his front door the whole time so............... any thoughts????

Disk Brake front end

G'day all,
Im not sure wether or not to put a HK disk brake front end in my HK ute? Dusty, ive seen your front end in your 'garage sale' and was wondering what else i would need to set it up as i live in Stawell it would be easy to arrange pick-up.
First of all.. is it realy worth it? i dont have a big budget for it and i dont know much about it. What sort of price, time and effort would be needed in putting in the front end of yours Dusty?
Any advice would be appreciated.

what cam is this?

Just removed a cam from my old 253. Appears to be in quite good condition, but then again it only ever did 20,000kms at the most.

Found some markings on it. The one that most looks like a part number is the marking on the end of the shaft that is at the back of the motor. The number is 951778. Any idea what this means?

Sorry i can't say for sure who manufactured the shaft, i was quite young when i got this engine built... didn't even know exactly what a cam was back then lol.

EK Parts/Panels for sale

Hi just joined OldHolden.com.

I've been into EK holdens for over 20 years, and in that time I have accumulated a large collection of parts.
Due to termites been discovered where I stored my collection, I have had to relocate them and sadly the time has come to part with some of them.
Collection includes: complete doors, bonnets, front and rear bumpers, bootlids, front and rear chrome indicator assy's,
interior and exterior chrome trim, engine parts, instrument consoles, etc.

All parts are from Ek holdens and are in good condition.

EXTRACTORS - 202 BLUE ENGINE

Hi - wondering if anyone could advise on fitting extractors / headers on my VC's blue 202. Are you able to use the original inlet manifold from the factory "hot-box" set up ? If so how do you attach it to the extractors as it bolt together with the standard exhaust manifold ? I assume it needs to retain all the emmission components to be legal so guess you need to reconnect some how. Also, does anyone know what type of performance gain I will get fitting extractors - I am assuming it will be worthwhile or I am better just fixing up the original exhaust.
