Lost a Hubcap or Wheel Trim?

G'day all

I saw that someone in the 'Wanted' section needed a wheel trim/hubcap or done such wheel thingie as they had one fall off. (No officer, I was NOT spinning my wheels or any such thing. I was on my way to church at 1.30 am when suddenly...)

HANDY TIP... My dad always used to take these items off his car, write in permanent marker his name and phone number and the word 'Reward'. People find them, ring up and you give them a dollar or two or ten. The thing is, you get back a piece of your car that is rapidly becoming a dwindling resource. And some nice person scores your cash and a warm fuzzy feeling inside. But watch out for the enterprising little sods who rip off your hubcaps in order to make some money to spend on threepenny bags of lollies.

Rusty's Marbles

G'day Rusty

Marbles? Are you barmy? I lost mine years ago (about the time I bought a festering pile of cr*p called a Ford) and I haven't seen 'em since. And since they only made a special limited edition of them, I doubt that you will have any luck. I DO have, however a genuine imitation replica copy of some marbles that might fit the bill. They have been retooled to perform 'just like the original' and resprayed to look 'just like the original'. In fact, if you didn't know better, stood back 30 meters, hopped on one leg, and squinted whilst singing Waltzing Matilda, you would swear that they are almost possibly genuine looking. I am about to list them on eBay, but will pull the auction early if I get a better offer or the price falls short of my ridiculous expectations.

'Ahem'.... How do I remove the washer jet from the bonnet of my HT?....

Sorry, but it's something I never had to do before...

Please stop laughing and answer me dammit!

Next weeks "Stoopid Kwesschun" will be.... How do I put it back again?

Radiator Hose

I'm in a spot of bother here so am asking around.

I understand there might be some members here who might be knowledgible with regard to trucks.
I know it an off topic and apoligise for the inconvenience but so far it looks like I could be stuck.(Untill I get one)

Its a Liousville L 9000, 3/86 year, running a General Motors (GM) 692 Detriot Blown Two Stroke Diesel.

The Liousiville ran a few other motors, Cunnings, I think Perkins as well but the problem stems from the fact the top little GM motor in it was not the most common powerplant that they ran so I am having trouble getting the one part.

EH Goose Neck Rubber?

Can someone tell me what this is actually called. It's the sqaure shaped rubber (reasonably large) that goes in the middle of the front crossmember, and bolts up just under and behind the bumper. I'm presuming the EH & HR ones are the same. I have put the round crossmsmber support rubbers on (which are the same for both EH & HR), but the kit didn't contain the goose neck rubber, and it's worse than I thought.

Cheers

Josh Lammi's Brougham LowRider

Hey mate before ya go dropping her consider Air bags lol
Best of both worlds, decent ride when on the move, you can traverse speed bumps without a worry (dont need the mates to lift you off lol) and can drive up the steepest of driveways, then when ya finished hit the switch and Psssshhhhhhhhh*thump* she's on her guts lol
And a LOT lower than any conventional lowering job will acheive hehehe
So whaddya reckon mate?
Josh Lammi's ''Brougham LowRider'' on the cards?

Cheers, Pig, (oinks308)

EJ Premier for sale

Have a friend with a EJ Premier he wants to sell. Another project which is not going to happen. It has been off the road for a while, the body and subframes appear pretty good, there is rust in all the doors and there is a dent in the left rear which means a new bumper, boot lid and some panel beating. The seats are missing and also the consol, but apparently all the mechanicals are there and all the badges etc..
He hopes to get around $1200 to $1500 for it, personally I think he would take a bit less, it is in the northern suburbs of Perth WA.

Wanted: Torana for Mudbash Car

Well it is now official - Mudbash 2005 now has insurance to run cars and with 14 weeks to go, my crew is looking for a torana to run.

The car wound need to be relatively complete, though the interiro door panels, seats and headlining, etc is not really important.

It does need to have a working engine and trans (manual pref) and be in Victoria.

Anyone have one going begging?

Leave a message here, or contact me at smantech tpgdot comdot au.

Cheers,

Webber

HG Brougham

Hi all, ive got myself a HG Brougham, and i have a few quuestions i hope people here can answer for me. First, i need to get a new chrome strip for the passenger side rear wheel arch to replace one that was damaged, does anyone have one or know where i might be able to get one? Is the brougham chrome the same as the premier chrome? The bench seats are in excellent condition but they are a bit dirty, what would be the best way to clean both the cloth and vinly parts without damaging them? And does anyone know of any book with plenty of pics and info that would help with restoring a Brougham, in particular in looking for pics of parts that were specific to the Brougham. I also have for sale a rear suspension spring, and front and rear towbars, contact me at brutus1@iinet.net.au

Removing Camshaft from a 138 FB Grey Motor

Putting a grey 138 into my FJ, a little different to the 132 especially the camshaft. Was wondering what size the 2 little bolts are that remove the camshaft. You have to put a socket through each hole in the cam shaft to get to them. Problem is I have used my 1/4 inch drive socket and have no idea what size it is.

Any help would be fantastic

Jason
