Has to have a HQ stud pattern so no commodore rims please. The rims on "griezy202"s staty look great (silver one posted all over this website) if anybody knows what kind they are please let me know. Either return a comment or send me pics of your rims to l.campbell@aerocare....

HI All,
I have recently got my EH ute back on the road. I have replaced the kingpings and have fitted some pacemaker extractors (original 179)amoungst other things. I brought the kingpins as changeover models from rarespares. My question is, do the kingpins take a while to 'loosen up'? The front end now seems reluctant to self correct when driving without holding the wheel. It is worse at low speed. Has anyone got any thoughts as to why this happens and has it happened to anyone else? Or any remedies?
Also, the main accelerator linkage (the rod that runs parallel with the fire wall) is now slightly fouling on the extractors at idle (no depression on the pedal) Is there any easy adjustment that can change where this linkage rests, but doesn't effect the stroke of the pedal and inturn the carby operation?

For those of you who have rebuilt an engine, in particular a holden v8, where did you learn how to do it?
Whats the best way to learn?
And did you stuff anything up on your first go?
thanks

Hey rusty,
Is there any chance that i could have my username modified to suit my new eninge that is now in my car and almost finished. My username as you can probably see is Matt_HZ202. Any way i can get that to even Matt_HZ327 or will it just be easier to make a new user with this name.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

any one know how to wire in a digital/analogue convertor(little green box with an electric motor in it).the gearbox is a getrag 5 speed with a red and white wire coming from a magnetic pickup under the gearbox. the convertor itself has 3 wires, red whit and black and the speedo cable screws into one end of the convertor. have tried different combinations but still cant get it to work. any advice greatly appreciated.

Ive been wanting to replace my instument cluster with a v8 one with a tacho etc. At the present moment i have the stock VH SL cluster with the manifold vacuum meter/spedo. Im looking at buying an instrument cluster off ebay thats out of a v8 commodore of the same year with a tacho/volt meter and i think oil pressure aswell. Is it hard to install the new cluster in terms of hooking up the new speedo/techo etc?
Cheers for any help

I have just placed a M20 gearbox in my HR holden, previously a two speed powerglide. Two questions, Do i have to change the speedo cog? any idea which one i need? the other question is, the reverse sender switch protrudes through the floor pan in the tunnel. Can this be relocated? or is there another way to set it up?

Hey Guys... I've got a problem just fitted a 350 Chev/TH400 into my WB ute and on the drivers side the extractors are hitting on the bar that goes from the side of the chassis to the crossmember??(miles away from bolting up) Do I have to get that bar modified or is there another solution?? The motor came out of an HQ which fitted sweet. I noticed the engine mounts are different sizes should the larger/taller one be on the drivers side? I took them off to paint. Might have got them mixed up?
Any help most appreciated.. Cool site Rusty.
