Hi guys got a bit of a poser this time. I have installed the Stato dash and everything is working fine except the fuel gauge. Does any one know how I can get it to read properly as it reads full all the time. Unfortunatly the Stato sender is different to the HZ wagon sender and wont fit and I am not sure if the Stato tank will fit into the wagon. Thanks

Hi,
Does anybody know if Holden did a run of Statesman models around 1972 with the 327 Chevy V8?
Cheers
Chris

I'm in the process of installing air con into my HR, now my question:
I'm using some old used air conditioning hoses for my setup, now a couple of the hoses have a fair bit of muck inside them, it seems like old dried up remnants of the gas. now i'm wondering if its still okay to use them with the muck inside them?
a picture of a bit of the dirt is below (sorry for the poor quality):

ok despite the title i found out last night its no fun to have your brakes fail, basically whats happening is there is about 95% travel in the pedal now and pretty much now assitance, i heard/ felt a pop in the pedal and it just went floppy and the brake fail light came on, now mind you i still have some braking, but its really really bad compared to before, i also noticed after a quick look under the bonnet, the traces of a leak of brake fluid, ie stripped paint, and when i checked it this morning it had gone down more so, a guy at work recons that ive done the seal between the master cylinder and the booster, has anyone had anything like this happen before??? come on im sure someone has, id really appreciate any hints on where to start looking, wouldnt really consider my knowledge of brakes all that great but i have a felling it may get greater very soon....

Hi, I was just wanting to know what is involved and how much it would cost to convert a 202 to run on unleaded petrol? Also will doing this raise/lower the compression?
Thanks

HEY can anyone please help me
I have a VH with a 202, and i have recently bought a Blue 253 with 3spd auto, everything is on the motor and ready to go, only i am not sure what to do about the K FRAME
i was told i would only need to change the engine mounts and it would bolt straight in, but other people are telling me otherwise, and that the V8 kframe is slightly different, as is the tailshaft etc. does anyone know exactly what i am gonna need, my car has never been a v8. also, will i have to upgrade to a disc brake rear end, and will this conversion mean i have to get an engineers cert (transport dept sais, that if my car came out with the option of a v8 then all i have to do is list all the changes ?!?)

You know the little clear plastic thing attached to the top of the steering column ? My EH auto has been fitted with a Tri-matic and the gears are out of place. If you can stick it in the post I'll fix ya up for a few bucks.

Here's a good question i reckon
253 or 308 for reliability / strength and revability which is the better motor my opinion is the 253 by far and ive been told by many the rev freely over a 308 and 308 have crappy cooling because its a 253 block and bored out and fry bores, they also tell my 253 cops the [Naughty Pottyword] more then a 308 , But im interested in everyone opinion so please tell me what you holden enthusiasts reckon???
sure its easier to get more power from a 308 but any other advantage?
